Usually, once our routine becomes a habit, we rarely stop to observe its steps with awareness. Have you ever wondered if you are doing your routine correctly?
Here we tell you about the most common mistakes you could be doing. It is never too late to straighten the crooked tree (or something like that!).
1. Not cleaning your face properly
Repeat after me: "Whipping with a cleansing wipe or just makeup remover is not cleaning your face." Really, washing is the most important step because it depends it removes traces of dirt that could clog your pores and complicate the benefits of all the steps that come after. Also, remember that a face with trapped dirt = pimples.
2. Rubbing instead of a patting
I think anyone new to k-beauty can fall for this mistake. Remember that with small taps or pats on your skin, the product will be better absorbed, while rubbing could irritate.
3. Applying products in the wrong order
The phrase “the order of the factors does not affect the product” does not apply to Korean skincare. Each step and order have its reason for being, using them in this way helps you obtain the maximum benefits, and your skin is ready for another day. What is the logic? Apply the products from the lightest to the heaviest, allowing your skin to "form layers" of protection and care.
4. Being inconsistent
The one who perseveres achieves: you cannot expect results if you do not allow the products to act. This is extremely true in skincare. Most assets take 1-4 months to show results. Practice and patience makes perfection.
5. Mixing the wrong ingredients
When you mix, you feel like an alchemist, but not all combinations are good. It is super important to know the ingredients that you apply to not make a failure. Most of the time a routine causes irritation when there's a mix-up, so it's best to do it carefully and well-informed. Remember, if you have questions, you can always ask us (or your dermatologist).
